Fox Hires Stacey Palmore as Assistant Basketball Coach
On Friday, UGA announced what several news and blogs reported earlier in the week. Mark Fox has hired Stacey Palmore as Assistant Basketball Coach.
Palmore comes from Virginia Tech where he was an assistant coach for 5 seasons. Prior to that, he coached at Division 1 schools College of Charleston (2003-04), University of Evansville (2002-03) and Western Carolina University (2001-02).
The hiring of Palmore completes new head coach Mark Fox’s coaching staff at Georgia. Last month, Mark Fox hired Kwanza Johnson, an assistant with him at the University of Nevada, and Phillip Pearson, former assistant and interim head coach at Alabama.
Fox and company appear to be making all the right moves. Hopefully, this will bode well for the future of Georgia basketball.
