Arkansas Rolls Over Georgia 89-67
In typical road fashion, the Georgia Bulldogs (11-18, 2-12 SEC) wilted under the Arkansas pressure and fell to the Razorbacks 89-67 (Box Score). Freshman Trey Thompkins led the Bulldogs with 20 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks.
The Bulldogs have two regular-season games remaining, at Kentucky on Wednesday (8:00 p.m. – Raycom) and home against South Carolina on Saturday (2:00 p.m. – Raycom). The first round of the 2009 SEC Tournament in Tampa, Florida starts on Thursday, March 12.
Barring another SEC Tournament miracle, the Dawgs should complete their season Thursday or Friday next week. They can then begin the process of moving forward and searching for their next head coach.
