It’s that time again Georgia Bulldog fans! The Dawgs are set to open the 2008 season against the Georgia Southern Eagles in Athens at 12:30 pm on Saturday. Georgia comes in to the game with National Championship aspirations and holds the number one ranking in the Associated Press Top 25 and USA Today Coaches’ Poll.
The Bulldogs are 3-0 all-time against the Eagles. Their last meeting was in 2004 when the Dawgs beat Georgia Southern 48-28 to open the season. Georgia would go on to finish 10-2 that year and defeated Wisconsin 24-21 in the Outback Bowl.
