It’s been an active week in Georgia Bulldog Country. Below is a summary of recent events, including Countdown To Kickoff, UGA Football Ticket cutoff scores, EA Sports NCAA Football 09 and Michael Lemon.

“Countdown To Kickoff” This Weekend

Hosted by David Greene, Matt Stinchcomb and Jon Stinchcomb. Countdown to Kickoff is the ultimate UGA football fan experience. The weekend provides fans with unique opportunities to golf, take pictures, get autographs, catch passes, run drills, and play games with some of their favorite UGA football players in the NFL, legends from the past, and the current UGA football team. All proceeds benefit Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Georgia Transplant Foundation, Children’s Tumor Foundation, and UGA’s own Pediatric Exercise and Motor Development Clinic. Football Ticket Cutoff Scores Announced

On Tuesday, the cumulative score requirements were announced that determine the eligibility to purchase 2008 Georgia Bulldogs football renewable season tickets, single game tickets and away game tickets. New contributors need a score of 10,651 to obtain 2008 season tickets.

EA Sports NCAA Football 09 Released

Also on Tuesday, NCAA Football 09 was released for the Xbox 360, PS3, PS2, Nintendo Wii and PSP. NCAA 09 allows Georgia Bulldog fans to control their favorite players, including Knowshon Moreno and Matthew Stafford. The black jerseys are also included in this edition.

Georgia Sports Blog has uploaded several custom UGA covers for NCAA 09 including UGA VI, Knowshon Moreno, Mohamed Massaquoi, Kelin Johnson and Thomas Brown.

Michael Lemon Dismissed From Football Team

Michael Lemon, a redshirt sophomore defensive end, was dismissed from the football team. Lemon was recently charged with misdemeanor battery and felony aggravated battery after he allegedly beat up Demarius Jackson,a fellow UGA student. Jackson was knocked to the ground and suffered a concussion and eye fracture.
