Black Out In Athens As Georgia Rolls Over Auburn 45-20

Georgia Bulldogs

Amidst a sea of Georgia fans wearing black, the Bulldogs warmed up in their usual red home jerseys. But after a team prayer in the dark, the Dawgs were presented black jerseys to wear against the Auburn Tigers. Making the change didn’t hurt as the Bulldogs dominated the Tigers in the second half to win 45-20.

Knowshon Moreno rushed for his fourth straight 100-yard game to lead the Bulldogs. He finished with 101 yards on 22 carries with two touchdowns. Tailback Thomas Brown and fullback Brannan Southerland added touchdowns for the Dawgs in the second half.

Matthew Stafford completed 11 of 19 passes for 237 yards and two touchdowns. Catching those touchdowns were Mohamed Massaquoi (58 yards) and Sean Bailey (13 yards).

Georgia has now won two straight over the Auburn Tigers. Last year, the Dawgs upset the Tigers 37-15 at Auburn.
