Georgia To Battle Fresno State For National Championship

The Georgia Bulldogs (44-23-1) will face the Fresno State Bulldogs (45-30) in the best-of-three College World Series Championship round beginning tonight at 7:00 p.m. ET. The Dawgs defeated that Stanford Cardinal 10-8 on Saturday to improve their record to 3-0 in the College World Series.

Fresno State, 3-1 in the CWS, is only the second no. 4 seed to win a regional and the first to reach a College World Series final. The Bulldogs beat Rice 17-5, beat UNC 5-3, lost to UNC 4-3 and then beat UNC 6-1.

Game 1 will be broadcast live at 7:00 p.m. ET on ESPN2. Game 2 on Tuesday and Game 3 on Wednesday (if necessary) will be broadcast live on ESPN.
