Bulldogs Beat Wolfpack To Advance To 2008 College World Series

The Georgia Bulldogs crushed the North Carolina State Wolfpack 17-8 to win the Athens Super Regional 2 games to 1 in the best-of-three series. The Dawgs scored 9 runs in the first inning and never trailed in the game. This will be Georgia's 3rd appearance in the College World Series in the past five years.

The Diamond Dawgs will face the no. 1 national seed Miami Hurricanes in their first round game. Other teams advancing are Florida State, North Carolina and Rice.
